From birth to weaning, provide the feed ad libitum, in a creep-feeding system, gradually introducing chopped Tifton, Coast-Cross, alfalfa hay or corn silage. After weaning and in addition to roughage, provide at a rate of 1 to 1.5% of live weight per day, according to the breeding system and the need for weight gain.
