The amount to be supplemented varies depending on the animal’s conditions (live weight, body condition) and forage conditions (quality and quantity). Between 1 and 1.5% of live weight is recommended. When in confinement, supply preferably mixed with forages of good quality (corn or sorghum silage and hay).
